Welcome to the

UK AMR Inward Mission 2024

Curb Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) by boosting UK and international collaboration through new partnerships and joint innovation, growing your organisation.

We are delighted to welcome a carefully selected delegation of international AMR organisations to the UK, to showcase the UK ecosystem and to meet like-minded UK businesses.

The Inward Mission to the UK will take place from 3 – 7 June 2024 at three key AMR hotspots of Glasgow, Alderley Park and Cambridge. UK participants can register on just one or all of these event dates.

The programme offers the latest in AMR from the UK including best practice presentations, funding support, facilities tours and matchmaking sessions with UK and international delegates for collaborative innovation.

Days will consist of industry and funding presentations, venue facilities tours and opportunity for 1:1 matchmaking meetings to develop new partnerships both in the UK and internationally. They will bring together experts from across the world, big pharma, SMEs, academics, governments and more. This is a unique opportunity to find out more about the UK ecosystem, challenges and opportunities, and generate new business contacts and contracts in the UK and internationally.

Delegates will be able to arrange 1:1 meetings with other attendees to start to form collaborations. Meetings will take place in a dedicated area and will be arranged in advance by means of this website.

International participants

  • Non-UK participants have undergone a separate, detailed application process
  • Following large interest, applicants were selected from almost 100 organisations with the strongest potential to partner with UK organisations
  • A further selection process has been made to welcome the most appropriate 20 organisations on this Inward Mission

Why participate?

  • Develop strategic partnerships - look at who else is participating and invite them to 1:1 meetings
  • Understand your market - hear from a range of industry experts, businesses and funders on where the market and insight gaps are
  • Get funding insights - hear what competitions are open, what they are looking for and how to put together a great application
  • Generate fresh leads and meet new contacts in a time and cost-efficient way
  • Grow your international presence
  • Discover new AMR products and services

Selection process

  • Following registration, a selection process will be made to ensure organisations will meet the criteria of being able to form UK and international partnerships to add economic growth to the UK
  • We can only accept one participant per organisation
  • Innovate UK is committed to improving the diversity of who we support. As such, we welcome applications from under-represented groups

Virtual matchmaking

There is also an option to book virtual matchmaking meetings with any delegate for four weeks following the Inward Mission. This option is only open to delegates who have booked on at least one of the UK days in Glasgow, Alderley Park or Cambridge. This may be ideal if you can't meet the person you wanted to on the day, you have an opportunity for partnering that you weren't aware on the event day or you want to meet a UK organisation that is not attending your local day.
