International delegation programme
This full week programme is only for the invited international delegates welcomed to the UK for this Innovation Mission, including meals and travel. A WhatsApp group will be set up to communicate finer details and timings throughout the week.
UK delegates are invited to join one or more of the main scheduled days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, registering through this site, where they will have the opportunity to meet the international delegation.
Sunday 2nd June
- Arrive in UK and make way to preferred local Glasgow hotel (options: Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow Airport, Premier Inn Glasgow Airport or Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Airport)
- Optional ‘get to know you’ evening dinner (time and venue to be advised)
Monday 3rd June
- Transport from hotels to MMIC, Glasgow (see day programme)
- Transport from MMIC to hotels
- Evening dinner in Glasgow city centre (venue to be advised). Transport will be provided
Tuesday 4th June
- Check out of hotels and coach travel to Alderley Park (near Manchester)
- Check in to local hotels (options: Alderley Edge Hotel, The Merlin by Innkeeper's Collection or The Stanneylands)
- 19.30 Evening dinner Gusto Italian, Alderley Edge. Transport will be provided
Wednesday 5th June
- Transport to Alderley Park (see day programme)
- 18.30 Evening dinner at The Churchill Tree, Alderley Park. Transport will be provided
Thursday 6th June
- Check out of hotels and coach travel to Alderley Park (near Manchester)
- Check in to Cambridge hotels (options: Novotel Cambridge North, Premier Inn Cambridge East Newmarket Road or Travelodge Cambridge Newmarket Road)
- 18.00 Evening dinner reception at Trinity College, Cambridge – hosted by Professor Dame Sally Davies, UK Special Envoy on Antimicrobial Resistance. Transport will be provided
Friday 7th June
- Check out of hotels
- Transport to Maxwell Centre, Cambridge (see day programme)
- Finish and depart after lunch using own arranged transport. Help with sourcing transport will be provided
